Position Information

Ballina Coast High School is a comprehensive co-educational school which has been purposefully designed to embrace our pedagogy. Opened in 2019, the school has an increasing enrolment of over 1000 students, 18% identify as Aboriginal. The school has a strong focus on wellbeing, choice and a targeted sports program. Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (Secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (Secondary) in regular classes.

2. Demonstrated ability to use evidence-based practices to plan, implement and evaluate Individual Education Plans so that student literacy, numeracy and behaviour outcomes improve.

3. Demonstrated capacity to work with and support teachers to differentiate classwork and assessments so that student learning and engagement improve for students with additional learning needs.

4. Demonstrated high level organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively to build positive relationships with diverse students, staff and school community.
