Work Unit: Nemarluk School
Primary Objective: Provide high-level leadership in curriculum development, delivery and monitoring to achieve optimal educational outcomes for students with complex disability and challenging behaviours including adherence to Departmental policies and processes, advising teaching staff, working in partnership with students and their families. Nemarluk School is a specialist school that caters to students with moderate and severe intellectual and/or multiple disabilities who are aged from 3½ to 12 years. Students access programs from classrooms within the Nemarluk campus and/or from satellite classes within local primary schools. The Assistant Principal collaborates with teaching teams and outside agencies to enable students to maximise their learning within the school, home, and community settings. Families and the community are integral to successful partnerships.
