The Role
Co-ordinate technical, instructional and operational functions on a day to day basis, to ensure the delivery of high quality customer-focused services, and provide technical direction, general supervision and advice as required. Undertake technical duties including document delivery; acquisition of library materials; implementation of collection management procedures and bibliographic tasks such as cataloguing, record creation and amendment for library resources. Modify established solutions to procedural and related problems and issues. Undertake and resolve complex client queries including the provision of technical advice and assistance to staff and students about access to publications and information generally.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. Regulated activity is a child-related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

  • Diploma in Library and Information Services or equivalent TAFE or post-secondary qualification.
