Are you a dedicated teacher of Early Childhood or Primary with a strong commitment to collaborating with colleagues to facilitate differentiated educational outcomes for our students?
Camboon Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of collaborative and hard-working Teachers of Kindergarten to Year 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2022.
We are seeking applicants who have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and who are motivated, innovative and possess high quality teaching skills. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school approaches, including Talk 4 Writing, Promoting Literacy Development (PLD), Oxford Maths, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and participate in school collaborative planning through Teaching Sprints. Suitable applicants will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills, the capacity to work as part of an effective team and engage in whole school planning. We seek teachers with the ability to inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms. The ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community is highly desirable, as is the capacity to effectively use a range of student data to inform your planning, teaching and assessment.
Camboon PS has students from a diverse range of backgrounds and this has created a culturally rich school community. The successful applicant needs to embrace opportunities to incorporate aspects of culture into school practices, making links to our students’ home lives and engaging the community in the school.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
Applications will be assessed against these domains. The business needs of the school may also be considered. It is therefore recommended that you consider all information contained in the advertisement and any other related information before applying for the vacancy.
Applicants currently completing the Department of Education Leap program (formerly known as the Switch program) can apply for vacancies using their current or Leap qualification – even if they have not completed the program at the time of applying. Applicants may be appointed to a vacancy based on the qualification being completed via the Leap program.
The Department is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and persons from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.

A strong public education system is the cornerstone of every successful society. We provide high quality education for children and young people throughout Western Australia, helping them reach their full potential.
We have more than 800 schools in communities across our State – in bustling city and regional centres and in some of the most remote parts of the world. Comprehensive schools, selective schools and education support schools. As our population grows, we're building new schools and developing state-of-the-art facilities for children to learn in. Modern schools using the latest and emerging technologies.
Each school, like each community, is distinctive. Parents and communities play a key role in creating a unique ethos for their school. They help shape the school's directions. The principal selects the best teachers and support staff for the school and funding is driven by the learning needs of students.
