About White Rock State School
White Rock State School forms part of the Cairns District network of schools provided by Department of Education - Queensland. It provides a preparatory and primary education for children in the White Rock area.
It was established in 1988 to cater to the rapidly expanding population of Cairns. It is situated in the developing southern corridor of Cairns and services the urban residential areas of Forest Gardens, Mt Sheridan and White Rock itself.
White Rock State School is a primary school situated on the Cairns southern corridor. The school opened in 1988 after concerted community lobbying to establish a school on the eastern side of the highway.
We look forward to welcoming a proactive, enthusiastic and resourceful Youth Worker to our school community in Term two, 2021. The successful applicant will be broad-minded, resilient and committed to sharing in the successful learning journey of our most vulnerable students.
Sound communication and organisation skills are essential, and the ability to effectively work within a team to support students from Prep - Year 6. While not essential, experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
