We recognise that real experience is the most important aspect when appointing our teaching staff, we know that this experience, your creditability and your story will have a positive impact, to generate the passion needed by our students to see their qualification through.

Therefore, we want you to discover the teacher within you. If you don’t have a current teaching qualification, but you do have a passion and commitment for your industry, you may be eligible for certificate IV Training and Assessment scholarship and once you have completed the studies, you will hold the qualification needed to become a Trainer and Assessor with TAFE NSW.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Recognised industry related qualification in Nail Technology
  • A minimum of three years (post qualification) work in the nail industry, where the skills and knowledge of this qualification have been applied, at least part of which has been gained within the last 18 months
  • Comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and diversity within the Nail Technology sector.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and computer applications appropriate to the Nail Technology industry and education – eg: salon software, Microsoft office suite
  • Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service

Note: Applicants will be required to undertake a Trade Test
