About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Education Support to join our team of teachers on a casual basis based across 

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

Your Day to Day

  • Teach students face-to-face in classrooms, in the workplace and virtually 
  • Support students 1:1
  • Issue, mark and provide feedback on assessments
  • Student administration, including marking rolls and recording results
  • Maintain relationships with local industry and employers
  • Stay current with industry practice

About you
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood or Bachelor of Teaching, Early Childhood 
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
  • To be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
