About the Role
This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.
To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

This is a permanent part-time 0.5 FTE (Full Time equivalent) position.
Additional School Information (Optional)
This position will start mid Term 4 2022 and the successful applicant will be integral to the establishment and set up of the school in readiness for staff and students on Day 1, Term 1, 2023.
Murrumbateman Public School is a new school to be opened Day 1, Term 1, 2023. The school is located in the village of Murrumbateman at 2 Fairley Street and is 35 minutes from Canberra.
The school is situated within the Yass Valley local government area. It will provide new, permanent, innovative, flexible learning spaces and facilities for 16 classes – 14 mainstream learning spaces and 2 Support learning spaces.
The new school will accommodate up to 330 students upon opening and the core facilities will cater for up to 600 students to allow for future expansion of the school in the longer term.
