Blacktown Boys High School has an enrolment of approximately 820 students and draws students from the local and Greater Western Sydney area catering for a culturally diverse, gender specific student population.

The school serves an assorted group of students including a selective stream, High Potential and Gifted Education classes (HPGE) and an inclusive education unit consisting of an IM class and two multi categorial classes.

Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach Industrial Technology Timber.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute to whole school programs.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide engaging and challenging differentiated lessons and programs to cater to diverse student learning including HPGE students and students with additional learning and support needs.
  • Proven ability to meaningfully integrate information communication technologies (ICT) into teaching and learning to extend and engage student learning in TAS areas of curriculum.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
