The opportunity

TAFE NSW seeking qualified, experienced individuals who wish to be considered for an ongoing full time Teacher of Painting and decorating. The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to lead, support, construct, guide and enhance the educative process.

The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

About you

To succeed in the role, you will need to have the drive and engagement to share your knowledge and expertise of your industry with a diverse range of students.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face, and when required, via virtual learning platforms. You are a great team player who strives for success in all aspects of your day to day activities.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate III in painting and decorating
  • Minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in industry, gained no longer than five (5) years previously.
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent as per the position description.

Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
