Do you have a unique combination of deep technical knowledge, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to help us drive the success for The Department’s Modern desktop environment? Are you passionate about ICT Infrastructure, with a special focus on Azure and Microsoft?

About the role

The Senior Desktop Solutions Engineer provides technical/subject matter expertise to support the effective implementation and operation of the Department’s modern desktop environment, including development, integration, upgrade and maintenance, and problem management.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern desktop management technologies
  • Technical experience in the management of the AVD platform
  • Proven experience in application virtualising in AVD
  • Established understanding of monitoring and solution health principals
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, integration, of technical solutions
  • Deliver innovative solutions in alignment with ICT strategy and architecture objectives
  • Experience in enterprise scaled solution development and implementation
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal
  • Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience
