Condobolin High School is an inclusive comprehensive secondary school in the township of Condobolin on the lands of the Wiradjuri people. It is considered to be a remote school and is located close to the geographic centre of New South Wales. Condobolin is home to approximately 3500 people.
Of the current 217 students, 52.9% (109 students) identify as being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Additionally, the school has a Support Unit of four classes to further support students with additional needs.
Stage 6 students are a part of the Lachlan Access Program (LAP), a program designed to provide opportunities for students to study Stage 6 courses within their own community.
This access program also supports some students to be extended in Stage 5. Teachers work collaboratively to deliver curriculum through a blended online learning platform.
The school provides a significant range of experiences for students to engage in extra-curricular activities of both an academic and sporting nature, and focused on expanding opportunities to engage with and contribute to the local community, including community beautification projects, broadening capacity for positive citizenship and the development of positive values.
The school has historically maintained exceptional community partnerships with local businesses and cultural organisations, strengthened through involvement in work experience programs for students.
The Parents and Citizens' Association and Aboriginal Education Consultative Group are both integral parts of the school, committed to working collaboratively with the staff to enhance learning and cultural opportunities.
