About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Nursing to join our team of teachers in a permanent position based in Wetherill Park.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • Degree in Nursing and are a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum 3 years vocational and/or industry experience
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent
  • Are prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills in English and a proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments
  • A commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting
  • Highly Desirable expertise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and or Mental Health
