About Us
Becoming an educator in the South West region of TAFE Queensland may give you the opportunity to service communities at locations including Ipswich, Inala, and Springfield in the east to Kingaroy, Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick and Roma in the west.
With our flexible delivery options, training can happen in the classroom; workplace; virtual classroom; online; in our training facilities or any combination.
As a TAFE Queensland educator you may also contribute to developing training packages and resources. This occurs in consultation with industry to ensure our courses continue to meet workforce requirements.
We tailor and deliver training to individual learners irrespective of distance, difference or diversity. We utilise skilled adaptable people who are specialists in finding learning solutions.
TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas. This is a talent pool for opportunities as they become available.

Salary: $56,118 – $93,190* per annum;
Casual Teacher rate is $75.79* per hour (day);
Casual Tutor rate is $34.81* per hour (day).
* Rates current as at 1 September 2020.
Employment Status: Positions may be casual or temporary. The duration of these positions will be dependent on work demands and the availability of ongoing funding and/or student enrolments.
