Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. About the Role
This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.

To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.

You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

Carenne School is a K-12 School for Specific Purposes (SSP) with an enrolment of 116 students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance and other additional learning needs across 17 classes. The school has a very strong sense of community and is well supported by active parents and community members. The school includes the Macquarie Tutorial Centre which provides specialist targeted behaviour support to primary and secondary students from local schools with one behaviour class and two permanent support class for students with Emotional Disturbance. Our highly professional, cohesive staff is committed to professional learning, collaborative planning and team work.
