As a Teacher Aide, you will contribute to the provision of quality education by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

Applications are welcomed from individuals who are enthusiastic, positive and approach tasks with an open mind. You will be working closely with teachers, children and students fulfilling various teacher-directed tasks each day.

Various tasks include:

  • Facilitating small group support to students with specific learning needs
  • Working one-on-one with students with a support plan
  • Provision of general classroom support where required
  • Playground support or supervision of students

About You:

  • Possesses excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Be able to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills
  • Be a self-starter to support the needs of an ever changing environment

Mandatory Requirements:
While there are no mandatory requirements, it would be desirable for the successful applicant to have:

  • Experience working with students with physical needs as well as social and emotional needs
  • Certificate III in Education Support
  • Experience in a similar role supporting children
