Middle School Teacher Grades 3-8

Central Coast Sports College (CCSC) is looking to appoint a Middle College Teacher with a passion to work with students from Grades 3-8 with an immediate start.

The key to this role is a demonstrated belief that relationships are paramount to the success of student outcomes.

CCSC offers a full-time sports program that is incorporated into our student's day to day education, delivered by professional coaches. Our teachers work collaboratively to create integrated learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will have passion for Football, Rugby and Rugby League, Tennis and Netball. To ensure you are able to connect well with our students You will need to have an overall passion for sport, outdoor experiences and a willingness to work with a large cohort of male students.

We encourage authentic and honest conversations with students and families.

You have a deep understanding of formative assessment in a team teaching environment.

You know how to authentically use technology in the classroom.

A high level of numeracy and literacy are a must.

The successful candidate is a qualified teacher with approval to teach in Australia.

Full Time Permanent Position.

Qualifications and experience

• University degree in related teaching discipline – bachelor of teaching/education
• Accredited teacher status in NSW or equivalent
• Working with Children's check approval
• Clear National Crime Check
• A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher in Upper Primary School and or Junior High School cohorts
• Willing to consider recently graduated teachers

Knowledge and skills

• A willingness to learn and teach the Stage 2, 3 & 4 Syllabi
• Be passionate about creating and delivering a highly innovative, child-centered academic pathway
• Highly developed classroom management skills and embrace an open learning environment
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to share and plan as a team
• Ability to develop differentiated learning programs to meet the individual learning needs of students
• Competency and engagement in eLearning pedagogy as applicable to this age group
• Understanding of effective formative assessment
