An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Administration Officer, locally known as the Administration Officer - Human Resources at Indooroopilly State High School. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of corporate services related to Human Resources as well as supporting effective administration office service delivery for the school community.

Your Role:

As the Administration Officer - Human Resources you will:

  • Contribute to the day to day management of teaching and support staff human resource functions within the school, including the coordination of daily absences, supervisions and the organization of supply staff and their induction where necessary.
  • Manage Human Resources within corporate portals and reconcile internal planning with human resource allocations under the direction Executive Principal, Executive Business Manager, Junior School and Senior School Principals.
  • Assist the Executive Principal, Executive Business Manager, Junior School and Senior School Principals Business Manager to identify workforce needs including maintaining accurate human resource records, tracking staff data, monitoring staff replacement and ensuring all relevant compliance training is valid and current.
  • Interpret departmental and school policies, guidelines and ensuring legislative and procedural requirements are met.
  • Develop, monitor and track Blue Card processes and Accumulated Days Off (ADO) arrangements, assist with timesheet recording and signatories for support staff and manage leave approvals and tracking.
  • Under the direction Executive Principal, Executive Business Manager, Junior School and Senior School Principals, organise and manage supply and contract placements for both teaching and support staff
  • Provide a range of financial administrative activities and operations including data entry, maintenance of financial registers, computing and clerical support for the effective operations of the office, in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements
  • Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Executive Principal and Executive Business Manager or nominated delegate.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
