We strive to enhance the personal growth and development of students by providing the opportunity to experience the unique physical, environmental and personal challenges associated with living and working in the country and foster their appreciation of their role as equal custodians of a fragile and important environment. We delivery a range of higher order thinking education programs both on site and off site in the fields of environmental sciences, general sciences and allied technologies, indigenous perspectives and sustainability. This position requires the successful candidate to work away from Columboola EEC for a number of weeks throughout the year, delivering remote offsite camping programs and remote/rural school visits.
The successful candidate would be required to possess (or demonstrate the ability to obtain) formal qualifications in Canoeing, Bushwalking, Navigation, High and Low Ropes and Remote First Aid. This position requires the teacher to be delivering programs outside in a range of weather conditions, including setting up, packing away, cleaning and maintenance of centre equipment. The successful candidate will need to be physically fit.
