Position Information

Pendle Hill High is a comprehensive, co-educational school with an enrolment of 440 students from Years 7 to 12. A growing school enrolment includes students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as students with a range of learning support needs. A major building and refurbishment project has begun, with facilities to include a new Library and resource centre;  lecture theatre, seminar and multi media spaces, as well as outdoor learning spaces and flexible classroom learning spaces. Our Library has moved into a modern, spacious and air conditioned demountable pending the completion of the new Library at the start of 2023. 

Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach secondary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in teacher librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. Skills/experience in Information Communication Technology in the library context.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or ability to lead and co-ordinate library programs, systems and procedures to support the effective functioning of the library and to promote library use and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers and faculties to support innovative teaching and learning practices for delivery in new and flexible learning spaces, including the use of digital technologies and resources.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and organisation skills, with an ability to build positive and effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.
