In this role, you will lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division, improve the educational outcomes of students in the school and develop the quality of teaching and learning. You will achieve this by nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of current educational research, be committed to continual learning, demonstrate initiative, be futures oriented and strategic.
The Head of Department - Student Services (Head of Year) will be responsible for working with the Executive Principal and the Leadership and Management Team to enact the school's ongoing improvement agenda. The successful applicant will significantly contribute to a high expectations school culture that is focussed on continuous improvement to maximise each student's performance and potential. This will be achieved through proactively developing the growth of students with your cohort by tracking and connecting their academic and social outcomes to provide a holistic view of each student.
You will be instrumental in working as part of the school's leadership team to provide targeted and timely interventions to maximise each students' learning. You will develop and nurture positive working relationships with, and between, students, parents and staff to personalise education for individual students in a large and complex school community.
