Position: Assistant Principal - Administration (Secondary)
Location: Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale
Salary Range: $130,517 - $136,930 per annum pending experience
Tenure: Full Time, 5 Year Fixed Term Contract 
Commencing Date: January 2022

About the role

Key Accountabilities

To provide, under the direction of the Principal, and in a manner which is in harmony with the philosophy of the college, efficient and effective leadership in the college's:

  • Rosters: Playground Duty (staff), Meetings Schedule, Beginning of Year (staff), Playground Duty (students), Specialist Teacher Roster
  • Staff Replacements/Relief
  • Organise Schedules/Staffing for events
    • Excursions
    • Group/presentations attending the college
    • Photos/Vaccinations
  • Assemblies: Assist with Assemblies; make any changes to the daily routine for assemblies
  • Respond to student behaviour incidents
  • Lead the Pastoral Care team: Develop and Implement Pastoral Care Program
  • Staff Induction: Beginning of year and as needed
  • Calendars: School (Year), Assessment
  • Staffing: Assist with recruitment of staff
  • Expert Teaching Team: Assist in strategies determined by the College Leadership Team to develop teacher capacity
  • Assist with the Grievance and Complaint process, dealing with parents, students and staff
  • Assist with any other duty as required by the Principal.

Additionally, the Assistant Principal - Administration provides specific leadership in those areas delegated by the Principal.
