Kambalda Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic and innovative Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2022 school year.

Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.

The learning environment created by the teacher will be challenging and caring, catering for the range of needs that will see all students achieving their potential. You will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.

Suitable applicants will ideally build positive relationships with students and utilise effective classroom management strategies to establish and maintain a calm, orderly, learning focussed program.

At Kambalda PS our purpose is to ensure every child is provided with every opportunity every day to develop the skills and knowledge they require to become socially competent, resilient and caring of others.

Kambalda PS strives to achieve this through programs such as the You Can Do It! Social and Emotional program.

Kambalda PS caters for approximately 100 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 in the Shire of Coolgardie in the Goldfields. It is one of two schools in the town with enrolments fluctuating depending on the strength of the mining industry.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education).

Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

Employees will be required to:
