You are passionate about the industry, aware of current industry requirements and have a willingness to continue to obtain industry knowledge. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face and when required, via connected learning platforms.

Additional Requirements

  • Hold the minimum qualification meeting the requirements for recognition as a licensed tradesperson in Plumbing, such as
  • Certificate III in Plumbing, or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of three years current relevant industrial experience after completion of tradesperson qualification
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional and technical currency, as an example, eligibility for or maintenance of a Contractor’s Licence
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or equivalent


  • Hold the Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services or NSW TAFE Advanced Plumbing Post Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Other relevant qualifications such as Roofing, Fire Protection, Advanced LPG, Aerated Waste Water Treatment, Water Operations, Gas Appliance Servicing, Working at Heights, EWP (Elevated Work Platform), Confined Spaces, TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valves), Backflow, Poly Welding (Butt and Fusion), Gas Operations, Mechanical Services, Hydronic Heating Systems.
