Job Description

Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

Nancy Vibert Children’s Centre

Hourly Rate: $31.42 - $52.37 (rate dependent on years of experience and validation level)

Part Time (30hrs per week) – Temporary (18 December 2021)

Nancy Vibert Children's Centre operates a funded kindergarten program, pre-kindergarten, long day care and occasional care. The children, families and educators work together as a team to ensure the community is supported to provide quality education and care. The service will run a funded kindergarten program on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for 2021 and a separate pre-kindergarten program on a Tuesday.

Nancy Vibert is a small service located in central Shepparton, has easy access to transport and is walking distance to the local river and bushland, perfect for providing a bush kinder program.

We offer a supportive, professional early childhood network that promotes innovation in program design, access to quality professional development and opportunties to have input into the development of our Children's Services Policy and program design.

Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period.
