Are you an organised and dedicated Library Officer?
Ongerup Primary School (PS) is seeking a friendly and organised Library Officer to join our team.
As Library Officer at our school, your role will be to ensure that all library resources are managed professionally. You will be expected, amongst other responsibilities, to provide general clerical and library support, including preparing correspondence and booking equipment and facilities, and maintaining the resources and environment of the school library.
You will also be required to operate library systems which ensure library records are up-to-date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students, staff and parents at all times.
The successful applicant will bring to the school a positive and enthusiastic personality that seeks to engage the whole community in the enjoyment of reading. Ongerup PS has a dedicated and passionate staff that strive hard to maintain a culture of inclusivity and positive relations
Ongerup PS is situated in the town of Ongerup, approximately 150 kilometres north of Albany. The town and district is active on many levels and supports small businesses and a range of community and general-interest clubs. Farming, predominately sheep and grain, is the main industry of the Ongerup area.
The school is very community focused with a culture of strong parental and local community involvement that is embedded throughout the school's program. The school takes advantage of the educational resources offered through Yongergnow, the Australian Malleefowl Centre which opened in 2007 after many years of community support and devotion to this cause.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
