The Program Officer will support schools and key stakeholders to strengthen, grow and monitor Apprenticeships and Traineeships for School-aged Learners.

Assist with the development, implementation and management of Apprenticeships and Traineeships for School-aged Learners (ApTSL), including management of training contract endorsements, student support services and specific projects as required. Support the effective implementation of policies and procedures.

This position will be located in the North.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - Start date of 5 October 2021

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant academic qualifications and/or experience within the VET sector.
  • Career Development Qualification, eg; Cert IV Career Development, Graduate Certificate Career Development Practice or similar/equivalent
  • Current driver’s licence
