Kojonup District High School (DHS) are seeking an experienced administrator who will work closely with the Principal and members of the administration team predominantly in the primary section of the school. In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the Deputy Principal will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision and facilitating workforce effectiveness.
The suitable applicant will ideally be motivated and equipped to lead within a complex school environment. Strengths in professional practice will include primary and early childhood literacy leadership, supporting student wellbeing and achievement, capacity to positively engage with parents, and building staff capacity to work effectively with students who face learning challenges. These practices will be informed by the ability to lead staff in the intelligent use of data and evidence to facilitate school self-assessment and contribute to the school improvement agenda.
Kojonup DHS caters for approximately 250 students, kindergarten to Year 10 and has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and pastoral care. We recognise the value that hard work and regular attendance has on achievement and progress, working in collaboration with families to ensure each child strives to reach their personal best.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
