The Role
Ensure TasTAFE complies with Standard 6 Student Support Services of the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007.

Ensure that staff who interact directly with international students are aware of the providers obligations under the Educational Services for Oversees Students Act (ESOS) framework and the potential implications for students arising from the exercise of these obligations.

Provide counselling, pastoral care, administrative and clerical services in the International Education Unit across a range of community, human and educational resource issues concerning fee-paying international students in line with the requirements of the ESOS act. Deal with the complexity of providing theses student services while working within this specialised legislated framework.
